Ok, Day 6 at Last.......!

Off to Bussleton Jetty again and hopefully it would be slightly less busy!  Indeed it was and a very lovely day ot was too.  I decided not to take the little train to the end, but to walk the nearly 2k. I strolled along enjoying the breeze and sunshine and watched as the little train chuffed past carrying people far to lazy (or old and I forgive them) Once at the end they have an underwater observatory which is 80m underwater and shows how the marine life live on this jetty, really interesting but I suppose you had to be there!!

After the walk back and the obligatory gift shop experience I set off for the next town, Dunsborough, in search of more beaches and a bit of lunch.  Now considering the weather and the laid back Aussie lifestyle you would expect places to serve lunches all day.  Oh no.  I found the town, wandered round then found a nice little place for lunch.  It was 2.15, not late by any means but a large sign said 'kitchen shuts at 2.30'  Thankfully they were very lovely and let me in, made me the best burger I had eaten in ages and while I sat there they turned droves of people away and put the chairs on tables around me!!

Next stop with a full belly was Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse (there is another at the other end of the Cape that I will also be visiting!)  It was shut for maintenance!! Doh!!  But did have a bit of a walk round and took a pic through the trees!

Next stop took my breath away and I actually said out loud as it came into view 'OMG you have got to be shitting me!'  The water at this beach was the most amazing colour and the sand so white.  It was of course heaving with at least 4 people so I squeezed through the crowds to dip my toes in the perfect surf.  Then had a coffee and the most delicious raspberry and white chocolate muffin before moving on to the next destination.  Sugar Loaf Rock.  Stunning rugged coastline and one that I had earmarked for a sunset so after pushing through the empty car park, I headed out with the intention of making tbis my sunset stop before home.

Castle Rock, Meelup Beach and Eagle Bay followed all lovely in their own way, but my heart belonged to Sugar Loaf today!

Now my Blueberry had a moment on this day so all my pics were taken on my phone which is a bit gutting considering the sights I saw!  So I arrived at my rock to an empty car park,  I kid you not there was not a soul there.  I could not believe it, such an amazing place, mentioned in all the guide books, totally deserted apart from me and Colin!  Result!  I found a spot amongst the rocks, set out my chair and waited.  A couple of people came and went but essentially this was my sunset.  As it was quite remote I decided I should text someone to let them know where I was just in case a freak wave or a random murderer should appear, or in case I fell and broke my leg or something, so began texting (sorry Ma and Pa, didnt want to worry you so text others!!!)

Then the moment came for the sun to dip down behind the ocean.....and my bloody phone ran out of battery from all that texting!!!!!!!  I managed to run back down to Colin and charge it for 5 mins which gave me enough juice to capture the moment!!

I then staggered through the rocks in the semi darkness (seemed like a good idea at the time) back to Colin and my ride home.  Had to stop for a Roo in the middle of the road but he soon moved on and it was back home for my last night at Koombana Bay before heading off to the wonderful place I sit in now!!
