Here I am again! Feels like home! I am now staying in the gorgeous home of the Hutsons, in Happy Valley! And happy I am! Another beautiful house and time to catch up with the girls.
So after settling myself in and a good nights sleep it was time to start preparing for the next leg of my trip, Ayres Rock.
Bags unpacked, washing done, stuff sorted and ready to catch the overnight train (The Ghan) to Alice Spring on Sunday. But first time for a bit of R&R after all the effort of the last 16 days.....
Met Carrie at Marion for cinema for a bit of Gold Class. This is not just cinema, this is Gold Class cinema. Full bar, reclining chairs with a table in between, drinks and food from the extensive menu delivered to your table at timed intervals. All that coupled with a bloody good film meant a great start to the day! Then to prepare for the next strenuous activity of the day.....Dinner and sunset at Noarlunga Beach, Horatias Resturant. Mmmmmmmmm
Great location, great food, great wine, stunning sunset, what more could a girl want (other then Brad Pitt)? I had the Portuguese Rabbit and Chorizio Strew which was lovely, and would have been more so if the 'chunks of slowly cooked rabbit' had not still been attached to its bones. But still, this was not a first date and the girls responded well to me spitting them out every other mouthful!! We all had amazing food (Carries chicken skewers were slightly more spectacular than they sound, and yes I have a picture...) and Tracey had a very Aussie Baramundi.
The sunset was sensational, turning the sky several shades of orange and red and we only left when we could no longer see outside!
And now time for blog and bed, pics to follow and another chilled day tomorrow till meeting the gang and all the dustbin lids tomorrow night for a cricket match and sausage sizzle at the local oval.
Night night.........
